In early 2001, Ms.Trinh Diem Vy's second enterprise, White Lantern came about due to Mermaid Restaurant, her first restaurant being too busy to cater for tourist groups. Here she caters for medium and large tour groups who have time for a leisurely meal and those on a tight schedule too. They come here as it is spacious and to enjoy her Hoi An cuisine, as well as other Vietnamese dishes. The ambiance is lovely in the evening with relaxing live music.

This restaurant is conveniently located on the edge of the old town. Buses can effortlessly drop off and pick up their passengers at the front door.
This was the place for her cooking classes for three years until 2003 when they moved to Cargo Club, her next enterprise.

Local Hoi An dishes and Vy's family dishes are available here. On the menu you will find White Rose and Cao Lau, Grilled Mackerel with Fresh Turmeric, Noodle and Seafood Soup, Tofu and Mushroom Soup, Grilled Squid with Lemongrass and Grilled Beef in Lot Leaf.
